Well, Hello Fresh Air!

A beautiful day in Texas, and finally a chance to get outside and spend some time with my son on the baseball field. I love baseball, but I love spending time with my son and enjoying a little time outside of the office. It's a great reminder for all of us putting in long hours for the ministry, that we need to take some time to recharge the batteries.

We currently have two members of our International Staff working in South America as it is so important for our team to never forget why we spend so much time executing our programs so that others can impact lives. It's easy to get caught up in all the chaos that comes with operating in 22 different countries and volunteers from all over the world. A couple of weeks in-country can rejuvenate anyone. It also helps to give a boost to our in-country staff.

This is no different in every day life. If you feel like you are just going through the motions, then it is up to you to change the pattern. If your job is “just a job” then do something to light your fire the rest of the time. Our volunteers know this first-hand as a week serving others can create a lifetime of passion to help others. I know it may sound amazing, but the feeling you get when you play a part in changing lives, can make the daily grind worthwhile. You work hard, and then use your efforts to impact lives…..a great feeling to say the least.

I hope this finds you enjoying some off time and recharging your batteries. Taking a break is crucial to you being able to use all your skills to make a difference in the world you live. Get out there, enjoy the fresh air, and then go make an impact on others!
