Our Finest Hour

Thank you for your kind notes, comments, and prayer support. The last week has been challenging to say the least. We have experienced many areas of despair over the years in locations all over the world. It’s never easy, and there are times when you want to just drop and cry….but I don’t. Why?
It’s not that I’m not overwhelmed to see people struggle to survive, but I’ve learned to look deeper and see others sacrificing themselves to help those that are hurting. I believe that I am witnessing God’s greatest gift in the actions of people that don’t even know each other.
Tragedy is the point where I have seen the full body of Christ achieve its finest moment. We have witnessed total devastation, and yet the backbone of relief, recover, and rebuild is the Church. The last few days many tears, hugs, hard labor, and love have been shared all along the Texas Gulf Coast. Texans are a tough bunch (Speaking as a Native Texan) but no one, will ever top their passion for their faith and fellow man.
I just pray that if I’m in a tough situation, a God Loving Texan is nearby. God is at the front, center, and heart of my fellow Texans and the Hurricane Harvey tragedy will become their finest hour….Remember to trust your faith, pray often, and mobilize to help your fellow man!
