National Religious Broadcasters Convention

The National Religious Broadcasters Convention begins Friday in Nashville, TN. This event is an opportunity for ministries of all sizes and specialities to get together and share ideas, strategies, and technology with each other. Over the years, the NRB has been a tale of two areas of Christian activity.

The first group is the old guard of Christian media. These are some of the legends of television, radio, and literary ministries. These people were the forerunners of evangelism and Biblical teaching over the last 6 decades. It’s and honor to be in the same room with them. That being said, times are beginning to change and the invent of technology and social media has begun to overwhelm these legends. Thus the new generation is beginning to become prominent amongst the crowd.

The next generation of Christian media is required to understand and institute a whole new philosophy to reach their target markets. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest are just a few of the examples of touch points for ministry support and communication. The needs of people are still great and these tools allow ministries to put potential supporters on the pulse of the work that they do and thus hope to engage them in their work.

Medical Ministry International spends the time at these meetings networking and seeking to find partnerships that can lead to a greater impact on the less fortunate in underdeveloped worlds. We have established some significant relations at this meeting in the past and look forward to what may come from this weekends Convention. An additional support is the visibility that that MMI has received to our book When Love Heals and its exciting to be able to discuss this with international media in one location.

Please take a moment to pray for this meeting and all who attend. This is God’s team coming together to try and get better at what we all do. These are the leaders of the Christian movement throughout the world and its exciting to see what God has in store for us all this week. Let us never forget that its about Him!
