In The Name of Religion

It is amazing to watch people of faith use their interpretation of religion to increase their own endeavors. It’s really sad, and yet it is amazing how many people will buy into these baseless interpretations and follow without question. These people hurt organizations whose only agenda is helping people.

“Thou shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee and a light shall shine upon thy ways.” – Job 22:28. In other words “do the right thing and stand by it” there have been some that have interpreted this as “do what I say, or hit the road” The Bible is not about being used to further one’s own agenda. It’s about providing you an example and an inspiration to lean on as you live your life.

How many times do we see news outlets ignoring the good stories for the more sensational bad stories? It seems that the only time people of faith make the news is when someone says something totally off the wall or does something wrong. Why are we as a society shocked that the continual appearance of people doing bad, but “newsworthy” things lead to more deterioration of the moral fiber of the world around us.

We seek to change this at MMI as we move forward in our dedication to serve the less fortunate motivated by our faith. No one is perfect, but anyone that is motivated through their faith to selflessly serve others is what the world needs to hear about. There are many lives that are being saved or changed in a very positive way and God’s work needs to be known.

I for one am sick and tired of all the bad news and its time for God to be brought back into our society and let the “Good News” be heard to offset all the sensational stories that are degrading our culture and community. This is not a call to drop everything you are doing, but a call to infuse your lives with your faith and go about your business with a strong moral fiber and God’s word as your guide. Let’s face it, what we have is His, you were blessed at birth to come into the life you have, others were not so blessed. It is our responsibility while on this earth to use the intelligence, resources, and skills we have to serve others that were not as fortunate.

At the end of the day, all you have will be left here on this earth, but the impact you can make can be everlasting. Let’s play a role in bringing back the core of our society to be based on the good principles of our faith, not the sensational stories of those that are lost. In the end, those are the people that may be touched through our efforts and will help regain our society for good. You can make a difference, it just a matter of making the choice to join the effort for good. We welcome you support and look forward to celebrating all the good God is doing throughout the world.
