He Lives!

“He Lives! He Lives!  Christ Jesus lives today!  He walks with me, and talks with me, along life’s narrow way!”  One of my all-time favorite songs as He does live, and yes, we will live because of our belief in Him.  The greatest gift ever given, let’s take advantage of this gift and live our lives in honor of Him!

Can you imagine Jesus’ Disciples as they struggled with the sacrifice that he made?  They had seen all the great things He had done.  They witnessed the miracles, the teaching, the love, and yet all had been taken away.  There could not have been a lower point in their lives…….and then, He was alive!  Wow!  The promise was confirmed, those that believe in Him, will live once again by His side!  I tremble as I write this!  Wow!

I can not help but relate this to our daily lives while here on this earth.  We are all sinners, sure many have good intentions, but none the less, we make mistakes on a regular basis.  What would our world be like without Jesus?  There would be no hope.  The struggles that we face today would be overwhelming and we would succumb to a life of misery.  Living is hard.  Living in Ministry is even harder.  Expectations are high, and yet we will continue to struggle as we seek to do good.  The wonderful thing is that Jesus has our back, He made the sacrifice so that we can continue to do battle every day with the evil one.

As a follower of Jesus you can expect to be attacked at every turn.  The world we live in is full of distractions and the enemy is trying his best to use them to destroy God’s work.  We must not let this happen.  We must continue to push forward, stand for what it right, and expect to be attacked for who we seek to be.  The attacks are subtle at times, they even come from within your own family or ministry.  That does not mean those that are being used are not good people, the enemy is just trying to take advantage of misunderstandings, confusion, etc. to destroy what God has brought together.  Don’t let him win!

Jesus Lives!  He has Risen!  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!  Let us pray that we will never lose focus on this incredible gift and use all that He has given to serve while we are here on this earth!

He has Risen, Indeed!
