Because He Lives….

One of my favorite hymns of all time is “Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow!”. There is no better reminder of the sacrifice and example than that was provided by Jesus. It is the very reason why MMI has in its mission statement, “using Jesus as our Guide!”   Ok.  What does this mean?

Jesus provided the perfect example for all who wish to serve the less fortunate. Jesus specifically embraced the low and downtrodden. He healed the sick, loved the leper, and refused to be taken out of focus of His message and task at hand. It’s a pretty amazing gift that many in ministry seem to lose perspective of, not necessarily on purpose, but because the enemy gets in the way.

Ministry leadership is constantly under attack. The enemy does not want anything being done in God’s name to be successful. The more successful the ministry becomes, the more you can expect the ministry to be attacked by the enemy. These attacks can come from some of the most unlikely sources, even your fellow servants, who have become blind to the big picture and allow confusion, deceit, etc. to enter into their minds. We are in a battle, the great news is that our General has our back and He will protect those that stay focused and follow Him.

The same can be said about the world we live in. Terrible things are presented on the television each day, in fact it gets to the point where you wonder if there is any good in this world. This is fully the enemy at work and we must not lose focus on God’s love and passion for us all. Stay focused, stand up for God and His work, and He will have your back.  Please pray for those of us that lead ministries.  The enemy is on the attack, but we will prevail!

Life is worth the living, just because He lives………
