Dad – More Than 3 Letters

Happy Father’s Day to all! Once a year, we take a moment to say thank you to those men in our lives that have accepted the role of father, and provided the love, guidance, and support to us as we make our journey in life.

Some have been blessed to have their father’s for many long years, while others like myself lost them way too early in life. It’s important to remember that its never about what tangible gifts our father’s gave us, but remember all the things that were never even seen. Your Dad was the leader of your household. There may have been times that he could not be at every event, not because he didn’t want to, but because he was out there supporting your family.

Being a father has been the biggest blessing that God has ever given me. Every waking moment of my life is a journey to try to be the best father that I can be. I fail often, but then again, no one is perfect. We must learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward. The results are amazing. I have been blessed with an incredible wife in Jill, who has provided the support and love to help us raise two kids that a Dad could not have been more proud. Sheridan and Jensen, your Dad loves you more than you will ever know! God is in your hearts and you are kind, generous, and all around good kids. I am honored to be your father.

Take a moment today, whether your Dad is still with you or not, and say thank you to God for giving you a great man and father to help you along your journey in life. He’s done so much for you, much that you may have never even known or recognized. Why? Because that’s what a Dad does!
