Do you love to Compete?

I love sports……all sports, especially my Texas Aggies, Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and Golf. It all came from my Dad who from the earliest I can remember had me on the ball field and pulling for our favorite teams. Great memories, but I have found throughout my career an even better lesson in life. I love to compete.

Competition is a good thing. It causes everyone to want to work harder and set an objective to seek. Yes, there are those that lose perspective and go a little overboard, but all in all I will take someone that wants to compete over one that chooses not to. It holds true in business and even in Ministry. You have to be passionate and want to compete in order to step out of the box and excel.

Working in some of the poorest areas of the world is a challenge. It’s not for everyone and that is ok. Some will choose to support others to go into the field and their impact will still be substantial. A person that chooses to go into the field is willing to work hard, face obstacles, and overcome adversity to be the “hands and feet” of God in Action. It’s a team effort and there will be many challenges, some of which you many have never seen before. The great news is that God has your back, He just wants you to give it all you can and He will take care of the rest!

Competition is a good thing, but it also requires a game plan to be successful. There is not a successful team in the world that just goes out there and is successful without a plan. The MMI Team is held accountable to be who we say we are and also execute what we promise. It’s not easy, every initiative has its unique challenges. Yes, we have been doing this for years and have an awesome team in place. That in no way means that we can rest on our laurels. Each initiative is treated like it is the first one we have ever done. We must be strategic and serve those we all seek to serve, and we must always be accountable to the gifts God has provided. We are competing to change and save lives! There is no greater victory than to help save a life!

Do you love to compete? Do you want to change lives? If so, think about joining one of the MMI Teams. You life will never be the same! Thanks, Dad!
