Building the Wall!

Posted on April 29, 2013 in General Ministry, MMI, Patient Stories, Volunteering | 0 comments

We have just completed our International Board Meeting and our team is headed back to their roles and lives. The meetings are all wonderful times to re-charge the Ministry Team, but also have strong debate and discussion to ensure that accountability and stewardship are at the forefront of our thoughts.

The past year has been a good one for Medical Ministry International and the team around the world has done great work and made great progress to getting even better moving forward. This is not be happenstance and it comes with great sacrifice and focus to be people of excellence. Every single person within the ministry plays a vital role in its success and ability for others to engage in the future. This commitment is the cornerstone in building the organization, one stone at a time.

We are reminded of the story of Nehemiah and how he constructed the wall around Jerusalem in amazing time. The point of his journey was not so much the wall itself, but his faith in God and how He stood guard as the wall was being constructed. This is exactly what our stewards and supporters do every day around the world as they pray and support the ministry through financial gifts and supplies. Many will never be able to journey to work hand in hand with our teams, but they are just as big a part of the process as the one that is providing life-saving care.

We are so very excited about the future of Medical Ministry International and want to thank all of those that have helped to provide the stones that provide the foundation for which we work today. It’s a humbling experience and an honor to expand the footprint of God’s love and compassion to the less fortunate. Every single person that is reached has a chance to make an impact on life and thanks to you, to work continues to spread and love makes a huge impact!
