There are millions of people that have entered into a time of mourning/celebration as the world has lost one of the finest people to walk the planet…Reverend Billy Graham. This loss however is extremely personal to me. Dr. Graham was and will always be a Spiritual Anchor in my life and I entered into service for the Kingdom using many of the teachings Billy Graham has provided as a guide. He is not dead, He has gone home to Jesus and his precious Ruth! Godspeed Dr. Graham!
Recently, I had a lady that worked on our team many years ago post one of those Facebook challenges to name where we met. As is usually the case, I took the opportunity to provide a fun comment back to her. She has a great sense of humor, and yet her response touched my heart.
2017 was certainly a year where the need to help your fellow man became very clear. I was blessed to spend some time this past June in India and discuss the challenges of drought and poverty being faced across the continent. The Summer ended in a very abrupt fashion with multiple natural disasters occurring in the form of devastating hurricanes. Human inflicted tragedies in Las Vegas & Sutherland Springs reminded us all that there is evil in this world, but let us never forget that there is a lot more good than bad.
Years pass and various interpretations of a great speech continue to come forth. I have always found that going back and reading the actual text can provide a limitless amount of perspective void of other opinions. On this day when we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King, take a moment to go back and read his amazing communication of hope.
