There is a lot of negativity going on around the world right now, but let us never forget that God is always at work. Today, I would like to share an incredible story of a sweet lady who was blind, but thanks to God’s gifts and the skills he has given to the MMI team…she can now see!

Albina Romero Martinez has lived in her home country of Bolivia her entire life. She lost her vision when she was 15 years old and has had to live the rest of her life leaning on the support of her family and friends. She so much enjoyed the sounds of laughter from the children and longed to see the joy on their faces. Albina’s world has now changed at the young age of……85! Yes, for 70 years Albina has only been able to hear all that was going on around her. No more!

The MMI Team in Bolivia has been able to restore Albina’s ability to see! The bandages were removed from Albina’s eyes just a couple of days ago and she immediately recognized the sound of her nephew and immediately saw his face. The joy of her expression at the top of this page is why MMI does what it does! There is nothing better! Congratulations, Albina! God loves you!

This only happens because God has provided the gifts and skills necessary to bring joy after 70 years of darkness. Thank you to our volunteers, supporters, etc. that made it possible for Albina to rejoice! Amazing things happen every day at MMI, but this will never get old! Praise Him!
